The institution of the presidency in the republican form of governance: problems of conceptualization

This article is devoted to problems of conceptualization of the presidency in a Republican form of government. The author shows how the theoretical study of political science trying to explain the institution of the presidency as optimal and necessary for a particular political system. At the same time, the author tries to see the relationship between the logic of development of Institute of presidency in a particular political system and the existing cultural tradition, is largely friendly to the emergence of this institution. Thus, each individual case with the institution of the presidency is unique in many ways, is not conducive to the definition of the classical schemes of political science. The uniqueness of each individual case of the presidency requires a separate study, which creates certain difficulties in conceptualizing this concept.
