The integration of digital technologies into the sustainable development of an industrial enterprise

One factors of sustainable development is digitalization, which includes digital technologies embedded in business processes and models of organizations. This study analyzes the integration of digital technologies into the strategy of a modern enterprise from the point of view of its sustainable development goals. The hypothesis of the study is that the integration of digital technologies contributes to the achievement of sustainable development goals. The methodological basis was the sustainable development of the economy and industrial enterprises, and research considering the digitalization of the economy and the integration of digital technologies. As a result, the concept and essence of sustainable development are revealed. The definition of digital production is given. The results show that the emergence of “Industry 5.0” was due to the concept of “Industry 4.0” focusing on technological changes and digitalization of production, and less on the basic principles of social justice and sustainable development. The new industrialization of the economy is not limited to technological changes in production processes, but increasingly acquires an environmental, social, humanistic dimension and focuses the application of new technologies on the sustainable development of the economy, society, and humanity. The practical significance of the work lies in combining approaches to innovative and technological support for the activities of enterprises to achieve a level of sustainable development.
