The article shows that science and education are the beginnings of personality formation, its sustainable development and comprehension of the surrounding world. The author substantiates the position that in modern conditions the development of education outside the context of science is impossible, that science and education are inseparable from each other and as autonomous spheres of activity they are not capable enough. Such a condition for effective training of personnel as ensuring the interaction of the educational process with research work is highlighted. The role of science and philosophy as value orientations of education, the role of education for science as a link between scientific research and practical human activity is shown.
