Introduction. The relevance of the study of integral training in the sports reserve training system is determined by the high importance of psychological means and methods for training athletes. The problem of training a sports reserve is actualized when some of the athletes who have reached the stage of the highest sports mastery leave the “distance” and show decrease in athletic performance. It is caused by miscalculations made in the sports reserve training system. The significance of the problem lies in the lack of strong connections between psychological preparation and other types of preparation, due to which at competitions an athlete cannot demonstrate the potential accumulated during training. The objective is to develop a program for integrating psychological means and methods into the sports reserve training system. Materials and Methods. The methodological basis of the study was the theory of sports training and the provisions of sports psychology in the field of psychological support for training athletes. The study was conducted in 2021-2022 by means of analysis of special literature and documents regulating training of athletes in the system of sports schools for children and youth of the Olympic reserve. Results and Discussion. The author states that little consideration has been given to the integration of psychological means and methods into the sports reserve training system. Athletes’ failures during competitions are caused by lack of connections of psychological preparation on the one hand and technical, physical and tactical training on the other hand. Conclusions. A program has been developed for the integration of psychological means and methods into the sports reserve training system.
