Integration of institutions of vocational education with manufacturing systems in the conditions of a small town

The article discusses methods of interaction between the institutions of vocational education and industrial enterprises of a small town in order to prepare practice-oriented specialists. The author highlights the problem of regionalisation of vocational education. The article brings up the issue of incoherence of the market of educational services and the labour market, lack of effective partnerships between the vocational education system and the business community. The author proposes the programme of co-operation, which includes mainstream directions: modernisation of the content and structures of all levels of education in accordance with the requirements of the enterprises of the industry, sphere of services; update of the real need for staff in one or another sphere of production or services; development of programmes of further education and training; creation of the town training and production facility on the basis of institutions of vocational training; introduction of the programme of business education for the improvement of educational and entrepreneurial level of representatives of small business. It is necessary to involve employers in the process of education at all its stages: from pre-diploma preparation of students to professional support of future specialists in the period of industry practice and pre-diploma practice. The lack of qualified technologists and designers at an enterprises and teachers of special disciplines at the educational institutions of a small town requires from the heads of the above enterprises to “calculate’’ way ahead and purposefully train personnel. None of the specialists from a large city will go to work in a small town, therefore we should work with graduates — the townspeople and inhabitants of the region.
