Integrative thinking as a way to compensate clip thinking in entrepreneurship

The article explores how integrative thinking can mitigate the drawbacks of clip thinking, such as superficial information processing and multitasking tendencies, which hinder the effective strategic decision-making in entrepreneurial activities. The analysis is based on a meta-analysis of data on multitasking, digital distraction, and psychological self-regulation. An empirical study which included a series of training seminars for entrepreneurs and involved the use of techniques to improve cognitive functions, emotional intelligence and creativity in decision making showed that participants 1) increased the level of integrative thinking, and 2) improved strategic planning. The study has identified the gender differences in the use of integrative thinking and management styles and established the relationship of emotional intelligence and self-regulation with integrative thinking. The study has emphasized the importance of developing integrative thinking through educational programs for entrepreneurs, facilitating better adaptation to market changes.
