Integrative features of essays by Mordovian essayists of the World War II period

The author analyses the functional meaning of such literary genre as essay considered as integrative, dualistic form of a writer’s activity combining publicistic and belletristic features. The most significant essays by Mordovian essayists belonging to the World War II period are commented.
