The article considers an integrative approach to the development of speed, speed-power qualities and psychomotor system of young football players during their studies at the SCYSSOR. The difference between our research results and the literary sources is that the development of these important qualities was previously studied in isolation. The integrative approach that we have established with regard to the method of development of speed and speed-power qualities in relation to psychomotor skills in young football players has made it possible to explore the necessary but insufficiently studied above-mentioned relationship. The study of young footballers identified the dynamics of the age indicators of speed and speed-power qualities in relation to psychomotor skills, and revealed the insufficient effectiveness of the traditional separate development. The methodic and updated program of training for the improvement of speed-power qualities in relation to psychomotor skills in young football players based on the integrative approach have been developed. It has been shown that speed and speed-power qualities depend on the development of psychomotor skills in young football players, so their interrelated development is necessary. This approach makes it possible to increase the level of young players’ preparation of each game position, to better realize their individual potential and to promote more successful playing actions.
