Intelligentsia in the Chinese society space: the past and the present

Genesis and development of Chinese intelligentsia are linked to public division of labor and social stratum «shi». In the process of economic, political and social transformations of society the role of the Chinese intelligentsia was raising in the beginning of the XXth century. It concerns the future development of China.
