Interactive simulators and virtual trainers in the system of electronic means of training future employees of law enforcement bodies

The introduction of electronic teaching aids into the educational process of the university is caused by the need to update the content of education in connection with the informatization of all spheres of human activity in modern Russian society. The article analyzes the capabilities of interactive simulators and virtual simulators as one of the types of electronic training tools in the training of future law enforcement officers whose activities are associated with special risks and extreme conditions. A brief overview of the existing virtual simulators and interactive simulators, whose users are the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, EMERCOM of Russia, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, as well as their application in various disciplines of a legal profile in higher educational institutions, is presented. The training simulators are considered by the authors as a transition to a new trajectory of the development of practice-oriented education by the method of immersing students in future professional activities. The novelty and significance of the results obtained also lies in the refinement and systematization of the conceptual and terminological apparatus of the study, which includes the concepts of “simulator”, “trainer”, “modeling”.
