Interdisciplinary studies are the main area of modern the humanities. A framework of only one science becomes more and more narrow, slowing down the development. It belongs also to Germanic studies in all their forms. Under modern conditions, Germanic studies expand their research object, crossing adjacent areas. The 13th congress of the Russian Union of German Fellows, that has taken place in Nizhny Novgorod on November 26 - 28, 2015, has developed this problem. The paper analyzes linguistic agenda of the congress of the Russian Union of German Fellows from the viewpoint of general interdisciplinary trend. Traditional spheres that Germanic studies cross with the adjacent humanitarian fields that provide a mutual transfer of knowledge are these: political science, history, sociology, lingua cultural studies. In congress reports, there were represented new promising areas of interaction: informatics, theory of management, theory of a sustainable development. This paper focuses on main areas, which at the present stage Russian Germanic studies cross, on revealing of interaction spheres and planning the development in this direction. Thus, the congress reports have revealed or particularized the trends expanding interdisciplinary contacts of Germanic studies: language philosophy, lingua cultural studies and comparative contexts, history, political science, sociology and religion. As the new research trends, interaction with administrative theories, informatics and the concept of a sustainable development were established. Germanic studies can reveal all listed areas in view of bilateral interaction with corresponding sciences. One more prospect provides the inclusion of biological and neurobiological contexts. The researches carried out in English and also the interdisciplinary project connected with convergence nano-, bio-, info-, cognitive, socio-humanitarian sciences and technologies testify this.
