The internet-space as a source of borrowings in the modern Russian language
Бесплатный доступ
Dedicated to the borrowing of words from other languages as a constantly occurring process in all living languages, the reasons for which are various factors: from linguistic (lack of a lexeme in the language, lack of an internal form of the word) to psycholinguistic (fashion for certain words, the desire to imitate a foreign language culture). It has been noted that over the past few decades a large number of English words, the so-called Anglicisms, have penetrated into the Russian language, and their development often causes difficulties for native speakers to understand. An attempt is being made to determine the degree of understanding of the meaning of English borrowings, which are widely used in the modern Internet space. The relationship of grammatical and spelling features of borrowed words with the assimilation process in the Russian language is shown.
