Interpolation of computational fields on multiblock structured grids for numerical simulation of a threedimensional flow around a swept wing

Program for the interpolation of threedimensional flow fields between multiblock structured computational grids is presented. We use the method of trilinear interpolation, viz. an R-tree to search for a cell with initial data. The developed program is tested on an example of the problem of modeling a threedimensional flow around a swept wing using two types of computational grids, viz. «coarse» and detailed one. We use the field which is interpolated from «coarse» to fine mesh as an initial approximation for further calculation. The effectiveness of this approach to obtain the resulting field is shown by reducing the computer calculation time.
