The invariant of the fantastic adventure-historical novel

As the title implies the article describes in detail the fantastic adventure-historical novel as the genre of the adventure-philosophical fantastic. The genre has not been determined in the literary theory yet. By comparing the number of similar literary works which the author places to the genre, the invariant is defined, i.e. the genre structure is described. The invariant is constructed by considering of the Bakhtin's genre mode. The “internal measure” of the fantastic adventure-historical novel is determined by two artistry principles: the portrayal of the historical adventures and the portrayal of the philosophical experiment. The events should be percepted as true in common-philosophical sense. The construction of the invariant of the fantastic adventure-historical novel helps us to determine genre borders inside of the adventure-philosophical fantastic of the 20 th century.
