Investment Policy in the Context of Two Approaches Politics and Policy and Their Application to the Regional Economy

In the article, the author explores the concept of “investment policy” from the perspective of two approaches, politics and policy. The term “politics” in foreign and domestic literature is used as something that is applied to government, implemented in the form of authority, forms an institutional environment, and contributes to the development of regulations for government and the region. The concept of “policy” is mostly used in the meaning of “action plan”, “measure” and is used to implement the targets of the region’s strategy. According to the author, the development of investment policy in regional development in these two aspects requires clarification and their division into more specific categories. At the same time, the use of the two approaches “politics” and “policy” to-gether, as well as in conjunction with the strategy of socio-economic development of the region, will make it possible to apply them to a greater extent for regional development.
