Ionouretic renal function at elevated nitric oxide production

Studied ionouretic function kidney of white rats with increasing nitric oxide production. Revealed a sex specificity of the physiological effects of NO synthase substrate L-arginine on the ionouretic renal function. Increasing the concentration of nitrate and nitrite anions in the blood is accompanied by increased urine volume and excretion of sodium, calcium, chloride and potassium in the urine.
