Copper ions induce the micronuclei in the carp erythrocytes

Бесплатный доступ

Heavy metals are one of the main groups of anthropogenic pollutants of the biosphere. For this reason, the mutagenic properties of heavy metals require careful study for organisms of different taxonomic groups. The author investigated the frequencies of micronuclei and other nuclear anomalies in erythrocytes of carp after 24 hours of exposure to copper ions. The concentration of copper ions in water varied from 0.5 to 8.0 mg/l. It was found that the daily effect of copper ions causes a statistically significant increase in nuclear anomalies in carp erythrocytes.
