Hipponims as components of a cultural concept

The article focuses on the analysis of hipponyms represented in the British fiction of XVII - XXI centuries. Antonomasia is described as means of creating various facets of the image of a horse in the British literature. The author makes the classification of hipponyms according to the meaning they transfer. It is proved that the mechanisms of horse nomination depend on the qualities an animal should have in the plot of a book.
