In the article the author argues with the popular opinion about Tyutchev's "paganism, pantheism or even bashful atheism" imposed by Soviet atheistic literary criticism, proves that in many respects Tiutchev's verses carry a truly Christian beginning, stopping especially at the "turning-point" period in the poet's work.
