This article considers the basic principles of the operation of artificial neural networks, the international experience of their use in crimefighting. Adjustments in the procedure for providing with information of law enforcement agencies of Russia by merging of modern databases are proposed. A fundamental change in the current system of statistical reporting is proposed.
