Artificial Intelligence as a Teammate: From Metaphor to Educational Practice

The article considers the formation and practical application of the metaphor “artifi cial intelligence as a team member” in the context of educational activities. The authors show that the transition from the perception of artifi cial intelligence as a tool to its understanding as an active participant in collaboration allows us to rethink the tasks of teaching human-neural network interaction. Based on the material of an experimental course for cultural workers (20 academic hours, within the framework of the program of additional professional education “Tools of artifi cial intelligence in the fi eld of culture”), the objectives, structure and learning outcomes are described. The central element of the course is the use of team games and interactive questioning, aimed at developing students’ communicative and organizational competencies necessary for the meaningful use of artifi cial intelligence. It is shown that the perception of a neural network as a member of a team helps to overcome prejudices against technology, stimulates refl ection on the goals and objectives of joint activities, and makes the query formulation process more fl exible and meaningful. The results obtained allow us to consider the metaphor under discussion as a productive concept that combines the technical and humanitarian aspects of human-artifi cial intelligence interaction in educational practice.
