The article analyzes the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the digital transformation of the insurance industry, with a focus on the experience of the Russian market, in particular the example of SberStrakhovanie. Key technologies such as computer vision for automating claims processing, telematics for personalizing tariffs, and generative artificial intelligence for customer service are discussed. Attention is also paid to the dynamics of investment in InsurTech: the global volume exceeds $1.3 billion in 2023, while the Russian market has demonstrated a CAGR of 50% over the past five years. The example of SberStrakhovanie shows how image analysis algorithms have reduced the processing time of applications from several days to 4-6 hours, while integration with traffic police databases and geodata has reduced fraud by 18%. The challenges of implementing artificial intelligence are described: low quality of customer data, employee resistance and ethical risks. To address them, companies are developing interactive guides, retraining programs and implementing blockchain for data protection. It is predicted that by 2030, AI will automate 65% of processes in Russia. However, success will depend on a balance between innovation, regulatory requirements and the development of ethical standards. The article emphasizes that companies that ignore artificial intelligence risk losing up to 50% of their customers, while technology players such as SberStrakhovanie are creating the basis for personalized and sustainable insurance solutions.
