The problems of motivating teaching staff to work have always been and remain very relevant. Personal and professional growth, self-actualization, and the creative nature of work are the internal motives that should prevail in professional activity. In a rapidly changing economic environment, new ways of managing teachers' motivation are required. To move to the digital level, it is necessary to develop a new business model, transform business processes, create and develop an appropriate strategy and culture. This article discusses the concept, methods and modern issues of motivation of personnel who carry out their work in teaching activities. A look at new approaches to motivating the work of teaching staff in recent decades, as well as in the context of informatization of society, is presented. The issues of motivation of teachers' work, taking into account the use of artificial intelligence, are touched upon. The issues related to the emergence of possible problems related to the use of artificial intelligence in motivating teachers are highlighted. The issues of the advantages of artificial intelligence as a way to increase the motivation of teachers in their work are also disclosed.
