Artificial intelligence as a subject of the educational process at university

The article considers possibilities of using chatbots and neural networks in the educational process and prospects of their application during training sessions. Having analyzed universities’ experience, the author provides examples of positive impact of artificial intelligence on the quality of specialists’ training. The article also reveals negative consequences of the presence of artificial intelligence in the higher school such as high probability of using distorted educational and scientific information, possibility of passing off a text written by a neural network as one’s own, and ill preparedness of the academic staff and employees to make use of the advantages of artificial intelligence in pedagogical activities. Possible ways of overcoming the existing problems and applying artificial intelligence in the university’s educational process effectively are suggested.
