Artificial Intelligence in Kyrgyz: how Aytyl and Akylai are Creating New Digital Markets and Economic Opportunities

This paper presents a comparative analysis of two key projects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Kyrgyz language, “AItil” and “AkylAI”, with an emphasis on their economic impact. The study identifies two fundamentally different but complementary economic models: a government-oriented initiative (AItil) and a classic open-source startup (AkylAI). The projects create new digital markets previously unserved by global solutions, generate fundamental language data (corpora), and act as catalysts for the country's IT ecosystem. The analysis shows that support from government structures, in particular the High-Tech Park (HTP), is a critical element in attracting investment and developing the sector. The research emphasizes that their combined impact goes beyond technical innovation and contributes to the formation of new economic opportunities in Kyrgyzstan.
