Islam and socio-economic, political and cultural development of women in Iran

The article highlights the status of women in the Islamic Republic of Iran, genuine equality of women in political, social and cultural life of society. It is noted that only equity can promote worthy social status of women as free persons equal with men in all spheres of society. In this regard, the Islamic Republic of Iran legally ensures the rights and freedoms of Iranian women. Women participate in social and political life of modern society. Participation of women in the government contributes to strengthening the social supports of political system, the legitimacy of Islamic rule and increasing its credibility in the international arena.
