This article examines the peculiarities of the spread of Islam in the culture of the peoples located in Central Asia. The dialectical connection between religion and culture was investigated, on the basis of which the adaptation of elements of Teng Christianity and Islam was widely studied. The various views that have emerged on the spread of Islam among the peoples living in this region have been considered and divided into two groups. It can be said that it has been convincingly proven that the combination of a nomadic lifestyle and Islam can lead to the emergence of a unique syncretic culture and a change in the structure of public consciousness. Islam did not fundamentally change the religious beliefs of the Kyrgyz, but only adapted them to ancient religious forms (shamanism, totemism, animism, fetishism). This, of course, means that whatever the form of religion, the essence is the same. The Kyrgyz did not build special mosques and madrassas for worship, this was due to their way of life. However, Sufis spread religion among the Kyrgyz. From this point of view, their (Sufi) role is great.
