The consequences of strengthening the position of Islam in modern Dagestan society seem to be an important aspect, because the trajectory of this process determines the stability and preservation of interreligious harmony. N=510. The results of the study. Empiricism shows that the designation of the special status of Islam with the argument of the number of followers of Islam is characteristic of the mass consciousness of Dagestan youth. Respondents consider the improvement of interethnic relations and the improvement of morals of the population, the development of charity and assistance to needy social groups, the absence of interreligious conflict to be positive in the Islamic revival for Dagestan. At the same time, the respondents associate destructive phenomena in the interreligious sphere of modern Dagestan society with the spread of religious movements "alien" to traditional faiths in the republic.
