Performing arts conductor Veronica Dudarova in the Russian literature of second half of XX century

The article is devoted to the work of the outstanding Russian conductor Veronika Dudarova (1916- 2009), chief conductor and artistic Director of the capital’s two orchestras, the Moscow State Academic Symphony (1960-1989) and the Symphony orchestra of Russia (1991-2009). Being a conductor with wide repertoire capabilities, Dudarova equally convincingly interpreted the works of the Baroque and Viennese classics, romantics and composers of the XX century. The musician was the first performer of symphonic works of many famous Russian authors. Conductor’s treatments impress with keen sense of style and deep understanding of the author’s intention. The art of the conductor Veronika Dudarova marks the rise of national musical culture, it stands out for its charm and artistry, magnetic will, bright temperament.
