Using English terms in fitness and sport: the impact of globalization on physical culture

In the context of globalization, English-language terms have become firmly established in the fields of sports and fitness, exerting a significant influence on the formation of modern physical culture. This article examines the use of English-language terms in training processes, sports programs, and everyday speech of athletes and coaches. The reasons for their popularity are highlighted, including the availability of international resources and the influence of social networks. The article also discusses the role of English-language vocabulary in creating a universal language of sports, which simplifies communication between professionals from different countries. Examples of the most common English expressions, such as warm-up, plank, squat, which are used in Russian-language training programs are given. The pros and cons of the globalization of sports terminology for the development of physical culture and sports in various countries are considered.
