The paper describes the role of equipment and techniques for measuring rapidly changing parameters (vibrations, displacements, acoustic noise, etc.) in order to evaluate the performance of rapidly rotating turbo compressors-generators used within turbo machine systems for energy conversion. The paper presents main approaches to setting up measurements of rapidly changing parameters of turbo compressors-generators during their tests. It provides information about the configuration and characteristics of the equipment for monitoring rapidly changing parameters and software used at Keldysh Research Center during tests on turbo compressors-generators. Examples are provided of the hardware setup, processing of the test results and their subsequent analysis.
