Use of private military formations in the methodology of hybrid warfare: issues of legal assessment

Private military companies in their modern form emerged as a consequence and another logical step of the general trend towards the privatization of government functions. At the same time, their activities are among the most pressing and at the same time least settled issues in modern international law and national legal orders. The article examines the current state of legal regulation of the private military services industry in the context of hybrid warfare.
