Using Generative Artificial Intelligence in Teaching Foreign Languages at the University

The article provides defi nitions of artifi cial intelligence, and compares artifi cial intelligence and generative artifi cial intelligence. It describes the results of a survey on the use of generative artifi cial intelligence tools in a military engineering university, and identifi es its functions implemented in teaching future military specialists foreign languages. It is concluded that the use of generative artifi cial intelligence in teaching foreign languages at a university is a promising direction that requires a balanced and responsible approach.
