The use of social orientation indicators for the analysis of the regional development level

The article describes the basic principles of the analysis of regional socio-economic and social development. It is noted that most of the proposed methods include an algorithm for calculating the integral indicator based on private indicators. The tendency of the dominance of the social component in the description of regional development is highlighted. It is proposed to use the statistical collection «Regions of Russia, socio-economic indicators» as the main source of social indicators. The main stages of determining the integral indicator of social regional development are described. The classification of indicators of social orientation is proposed. The author gives a description of the indicators of each of the groups of the proposed classification. Conclusions are drawn about the possibility of using the described indicators for calculating and further analyzing the integral indicator of the social development of the region.
