Use of information technologies for detecting and recording digital traces

Digital criminology is a new, not yet fully established term, it is the new knowledge in criminology, based on the assimilation of the distinctive features of the functioning of modern information and communication technologies. This article describes the use of modern information and computer software by law enforcement officers in practical forensic activities for the detection, investigation and prevention of crimes. In addition, the scientific and technical prerequisites for forensic digitalization are considered.
