Using data science tools in the digital economy

The article deals with the use of Data Science tools in the economic field of activity in the course of digital transformation. During the study, it was found that Data Science technologies find their application in various areas of economic activity of state and commercial organizations. It has been established that the main components of Data Science are Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Data Mini ng. Based on the analysis of the results of research by Russian specialists, examples of the applied application of Data Science for assessing and forecasting economic activity and business practices are given. It is concluded that Data Science technologies are constantly evolving and include more and more new tools, and the theoretical and methodological apparatus of Data Science is complex, based on methods and theories from many areas of scientific knowledge. Research on Data Science is mainly conducted by authors from the US, China, India, UK and Germany in such fields of knowledge as computer science, engineering, social sciences, medicine, decision sciences and mathematics. In economic activity, the application of Data Science technologies from a practical point of view is aimed at analyzing Big Data and planning activities based on the results obtained from the activities of an organization or business structure, support for managerial decisionmaking, event forecasting and process modeling. But it should be assumed that in modern conditions the potential for using Data Science technologies in the field of economics is much wider, and the role of Data Science tools in the digital economy will only grow.
