Usage of innovation competencies in tourism management for design and evaluation of outcomes of bachelor's training

Active and interactive methods and forms of education simulating the professional activity are the best ones for the mastering the innovation competencies. To design the education process oriented to the innovation competencies development it is necessary to systematize them. The paper aims to analyze the innovation competencies and classify them on the basis of the innovation stages. The analysis of competencies followed by the deductive reasoning of competence systematization is used in the paper. The kinds of tasks for students’ practice are defined based on the analysis of both the literature on the subject and best practices of the PRC educational institutions. The groups of innovation competencies for tourism, the types of tasks for students practice, the types of tasks to measure the level of the competencies mastered were developed. The competencies identified are the basis for the education process implementation aimed to develop the innovation competencies of tourism managers. Groups of competencies identified also serve as the basis for the development of assessment tools. The technique offered to develop professionally oriented tasks and the tasks to assess the outcomes of the training can be used for the design of the educational process.
