This article presents the features of a pedagogical approach based on imitation of actions, gestures, sounds or behavior of other people. This method is actively used in various fields of psychology and pedagogy, including in correctional work with children, especially with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), where it helps to develop social, communicative and cognitive skills. Through imitation, children learn to assimilate new forms of behavior, as well as interact with the outside world and people.
