Application of the intersectoral balance in strategic planning of socioeconomic development of region

The article puts forward a setting of the process of regional strategic planning, its main tasks and stages are developed, the legal basis with regard to the provisions of the Federal Law "On the strategic planning in the Russian Federation" is reviewed. The creation and development of intersectoral balance are considered. The domestic and foreign experience in the development of intersectoral models and their use in strategic planning for the region are considered.The problems for working out the regional intersectoral models are revealed. The experience of calculation is described according to the tables "expenditures -output" of the Republic of Buryatia in 2011, basing on which it is possible to simulate changes in such indicators as gross output, tax revenues, employment for branches of industry and the economy in general. The main results of this experiment are highlighted. The feasibility of the application of intersectoral approach to regional strategic planning has been proved.
