Development of the multimodal transportation system by Russian transport enterprises in modern conditions

In the article, the authors substantiate the process of expanding the transport services market in Russia, when new methods and technologies of goods delivery are used, the place and role of transport in the country's economy are reviewed. The concept of "multimodal transportation" is revealed, taking into account the management of traffic flows, using different types of delivery of goods based on optimization principles, in which the activities of all modes of transport are controlled from one center, which is responsible for the safety of goods and their delivery. The need for the use of multimodal transportation by commercial enterprises is justified on the basis of the highlighted advantages in order to effectively develop services for the delivery of goods, taking into account the high innovative potential of enterprises.
