The use of the museum and educational programs in the historical and patriotic education of the younger generation: Labinsk museum as a case study

The article contains an overview of the experience of using the programm formats in the process of historical and patriotic education of the younger generation in the museum and teaching practice of the Labinsk museum, a small provincial museum in the Kuban region. The elements of the program on civic and patriotic education implemented by museum staff are lectures, meetings with famous people, trainings for young lecturers, museum section, organization of the competitions and participation in the large-scale actions such as "The Night of the Museums", the publication of museum articles on the military-patriotic themes and the creation of documentary and natural history films. Museum and educational programs are implemented through the expansion of sensory-emotional practice, capacity of the value experience, ethical reactions, understanding of "the language of the things" through the involvement of visitors to the various forms of social and cultural creativity.
