Using ball-conductor for anchoring intraocular lens in absence or partial injuring of lens capsule

Бесплатный доступ

We developed atraumatic method of fixing intraocular lens (IOL) in the posterior chamber of an eye in full or partial absence of a lens capsule. The ends of IOL gaptic elements file the strings connected to long needles on which cutting part a silicone ball-conductor is pinned allowing to spend a needle under iris non-traumatically to visualize the end of a needle in iridocilliaris sulcus. A needle is advanced further perforating sclera where counterpressure is created from lateral aspect. During the moment of passing the needle through the ballconductor the compression appears which reduces hemorrhage risk. The ends of strings are filed to the sclera.
