Using the educational potential of the social network in the formation of value orientations of schoolchildren

This article discusses the specifics of older adolescents culture of communication, taking into account some trends in its transformation in a focused educational process. It is explained the possibility of using the case-study technology and the potential of the social network VКontakte in the educational process and the results of an experiment conducted in the 9th grade of a secondary school in English classes are presented. The analysis proves that the use of this technology solves a whole range of tasks facing modern education.
