Providing pedagogical support to overcome students' learning difficulties

The article deals with the difficulties, which students have in the course of mathematics learning, and their causes. It proves that the idea of pedagogical support originally meant for children can be extended to the higher education system. It establishes gnoseological, psychological and pedagogical prerequisites for the re-estimation of such notions as "learning difficulties" and "pedagogical support" to be applied to higher school students.
