Use of the aikido techniques for teaching combat techniques

The article presents the theoretical and practical grounds for using the disarmament and apprehension techniques as exemplified by the staff of the Training Center of the Internal Affairs Department for the Tyumen region. Detailed use of psychological principles of Aikido and, in particular, its techniques, help to ensure professional longevity and more effective development of professionally significant personality traits of a modern police officer.
