This article presents the results of empirical research of one of the actual professional and psychological problems - implementation of special psychological knowledge in the process of assessing law enforcement officer's illegal behavior, him being a former participant of professional anti-terrorist operation conducted under the conditions of emotionally strained conflict situations, and that illegal behavior being a matter of special investigation.
