The use of the results of the car technical expertise in the consideration of accidents with hitting a pedestrian and pedestrian-provoked accidents

The article deals with the application of methods of auto-technical expertise in the consideration of cases of accidents involving pedestrians, as well as the possibility of applying the results of auto-technical expertise together with the analysis of records of objective control means (registers) to identify cases of imitation of a hit-and-run by a pedestrian. It is said that the principle of modeling the mechanism of development of an accident “driver-car-road-environment” allows us to consider the picture of events in dynamics and establish cause-and-effect relationships between all components, subjects and objects and consequences. The parameters that can be determined by auto technical expertise in the study of the mechanism of an accident are given. Conclusions are drawn about the possibilities of applying the results of the car technical expertise in the consideration of cases of road accidents with a hit-and-run on a pedestrian.
