The use of special knowledge in the investigation of traffic offences

This article is devoted to the use of special knowledge in the investigation of crimes related to traffic violations. The research is based on the Constitution of the Russian Federation, criminal procedure legislation, and local regulations. The methodological basis of the study was the General dialectical method of scientific knowledge, which allowed us to fully and comprehensively consider the features of attracting experts and specialists in conducting investigative actions in criminal cases in the field of road safety. Methods of logical deduction, induction, cognitive methods and techniques of observation, comparison, analysis, generalization and description were also used. The article discusses the role of experts and their activities in the investigation of road accidents. Some recommendations for conducting initial investigative actions are given, and General requirements and grounds for conducting expert examinations of crimes of the category under consideration are considered. Attention is focused on the difficulties that arise when assessing the reliability of data obtained during the investigation of traffic offences.
