Use of the half-pins with hydroxylapatite coating as a measure of preventing complications of pelvic external fixation

The incidence of soft tissue inflammation in the area of inserted half-pins, as well as the instability of the inserted half-pins of an external fixator has been studied, illustrated by an example of treating 117 patients. All the patients were divided into groups depending on using the inserted half-pins of different types.
