Using monacite typochemical features to determine stratigraphic confinement of terrigenous rocks of the Sablya ridge (Subpolar Urals)

The lithological, geochemical and mineralogical studies resulted in confinement of paleontologically non-characterized coarse rocks in the basement/cover contact zone in the Sablya Ridge to Lower Ordovician telposskaya series. The morphological and chemical features of monacite, determined with the help of microprobe studies, allowed using it as an important mineralogical criterion to determine stratigraphic confinement of problematic rocks.
